The following exercises are designed to be performed on an exercise mat. If you do not have access to a mat, please feel free to use a towel or blanket instead. Be sure to consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise program.

Pilates Scissor: Lie on your back with both legs in the air and your head and shoulders off the ground. Hold your right ankle as you lower your left leg towards the ground. Keep your abs pulled in and hold for a few seconds before switching legs.

Pilates Hamstring Curl: Lie on your back with both legs in the air and your head and shoulders off the ground. Place a Pilates ball or rolled-up towel between your feet. Use your abs to curl the ball or towel towards your chest, then slowly lower it back to start position.

Pilates Bridge: Lie flat on your back with feet flat on the ground and shoulder-width apart, legs bent to 90 degrees. Drive through heels, lift torso and hips into the air until thighs and torso are in line with each other – hold for two seconds.
